Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Gorges

Start your journey from Marrakech in the morning, heading towards the majestic Dades Gorges. Your route takes you over the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, offering breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains. 

Stop at the traditional Berber village of Telouet, where you can explore the historic Kasbah of Telouet. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a striking example of southern Moroccan architecture. This ancient fortified village, constructed from mud bricks, boasts an impressive collection of buildings and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

After lunch, proceed to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Visit the renowned Atlas Studios, where many famous movies and TV shows have been filmed. Explore the Taourirt Kasbah, a labyrinth of rooms and passageways showcasing traditional Moroccan design. 

Continue your journey to the lush Skoura Oasis and discover the Amridil Kasbah, a beautifully preserved fortress that provides a glimpse into the region’s history and culture. Finally, arrive at the Dades Gorges, known for its dramatic rock formations and stunning landscapes. Spend the night in a local guesthouse, enjoying the serene beauty of the gorges and preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Dades Gorges to Merzouga

This morning, follow the scenic Dades Valley to the Tinghir oasis, where you can explore its lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages. 

Continue your journey through the arid landscapes to Erfoud, known for its fossil quarries, and then to Rissani, the former capital of the Alawite dynasty, rich in history and culture. 

From Rissani, head towards Merzouga, the gateway to the stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Upon arrival, embark on a memorable camel ride through the dunes, witnessing the breathtaking sunset over the Sahara. 

Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner around a campfire, and spend the night in a luxury camp under the starry desert sky.

Day 3: Merzouga to Fez

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then take a camel ride through the desert back to the town of Merzouga.

From Merzouga, embark on a scenic drive towards Fez, passing through the picturesque Ziz Valley with its lush date palms and striking landscapes. 

Continue your journey through the rugged beauty of the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you’ll encounter charming Berber villages and stunning views.

Arrive in Fez in the late afternoon, concluding your memorable trip through Morocco.
